We had a credit to a furniture store and had to spend it before December or it expired. So a few weekends back we headed out in search of a sofa table (not to use behind a sofa mind you). This is what we got....
It is much prettier than it photographs. The wood is darker and somewhat matches our dining room table. It was an incredible bargain and only cost $15 after our credit so I say we scored! Right now it is sitting between this odd space between our foyer and dining room. Eventually, I would like a hutch (not sure how this would work with the thermostat and light switch) or a buffet there and I'll put this piece into our dining room. I have a great lamp for our dining room but no place to sit it. Our house is a work in progress. My husband tries to remind me with each project or idea I pitch that we can neither finish nor furnish our home overnight... it is a process.... and furniture is very expensive. I think we've done well so far.
Now - onto my other purchase. Right next door to the furniture store is the flea market. There are a lot of weird things there but they have some great deals on rugs. And would you know - we are trying to buy rugs. But rugs are more expensive than furniture!! Goodness! Well not this little beauty. I feel it will cheapen my rug when I tell you how much I paid for it but I can't help. It was such a great deal!! 35 DOLLARS!!! YES - it's true! Here is Rafa checking it out!
We actually need a bigger rug. It looked much bigger in the warehouse. But I think it will do for the time being.
