What Happenned Down in Mexico

I have been a bad blogger lately. I had lots of work to catch up on when we returned from Mexico then I was off again to watch the Davis Cup in Birmingham... neglecting my alreaedy neglected housework and leaving myself with more work to catch up on. I am getting back into my daily pattern and even started doing some laundry last night. But it will take me a little while to get back into the swing of things and get my blogging going again.

Until then, I'll leave you with photos of Cabo!

Our first afternoon in Cabo on the beach.... the first and last photos of the first day.

The best thing about an all-inclusive resort: mimosas for breakfast. Why not?

We're Back!!

I don't know why that title looks so enthusiastic. I am missing the warm beaches and luxury of eating and drinking anything I want at any time. Aaaah..... Mexico!

So I'll tell you all about our wonderful trip later!

Apparently it snowed here in Bama while we were away. We picked a pretty darn good time to high tail it out of here then. We brought a little warmth back with us (still a good 30 degrees cooler than Cabo) and Lucas and I (and the geese) rekindled our Picnic in the Park tradition with Subway on a bench of our beautiful downtown park.

Notice the tans? :)

Welcome to Miami

Once back in Miami we had a rental car waiting for us...
And we were off to enjoy South Beach for a while
Really, in all honesty, South Beach is nice but it really isn't as glamorous as it is made out to be.

The next day we set out for more adventures in Key Largo...

Kayaking in the ocean and through the mangrove canals

(Note to self: ocean kayaking is actually very difficult)

And a must for any trip to the Keys: Key Lime Pie.

The next day we visited with an old friend (he's been a friend of Lucas's for a long time.. he isn't old... well, not any older than Lucas anyway) on the beach.

Then he took us out that night to enjoy Miami nightlife.
Wow! It really is different down here.
Quick question: why are women always barely dressed and men fully clothed?
Hmph. Well, it was still a good view. Haha!

I hope you enjoyed our little first anniversary vacation recap. I hope to be back soon with lots of good pictures and stories from CABO!!

Love you and Miss you!!!

Next Stop - Grand Cayman

So we made it to the Cayman Islands. We loaded up on another boat and went out to snorkel!

It really was beautiful there and the water was so clear!

So clear you could see the few little rocks that lined the ocean floor! I mean... I guess I am spoiled from snorkeling in the Keys but there really wasn't much to see here.

We still had a great time.

Then we were off to venture through the city. We looked to buy Lucas a nice watch because apparently that is what you are supposed to do there (that or open up an offshore bank account). Apparently, Lucas's tastes are still too rich when he is bargain hunting. Sorry, babe!

But I did find some nice rocks.... nope not those kind. Just plain old rocks. We stopped at a little ocean side cafe to enjoy a drink.
And boy we really tried to enjoy them at $20!

They Caymans were beautiful and if I had a lot more money might be a great jewelry shopping mecca. But did you catch that 'if'? That's a big IF. It was fun to say I've been there and good to walk around for a few hours but I wouldn't plan another trip here really. I'm glad it was a shorter stop than Jamaica and we just stopped in for a little visit.

Another problem with the Caymans? There are a lot of pirates here....
Oh, my! There's two pirates!Hehe! Aww... he's holding his hook.

In no time we were sailing again...

Tomorrow - a quick look at our time in Miami before we headed back to the real world.

Musical Mondays: Oh, give me a break. You know!

Hosted by Jori and Diane

I'm sorry I had to do this but I promised a friend I would. Haha!! I'm having a great time in Cabo! I'll fill you in on all (well, at least most) of the details when I get back!

Why Don't We Get Drunk? - Jimmy Buffett

Oh, my! That's a bit embarassing. Haha! MOM - we're married, it's okay. I'm sorry! Haha! Oh, Lord........

Oh, and if someone wants to hop on over to Jori or Diane's place and add me to the little linky doo thing that would be great. I'm a little busy right now. Haha! Wow! Was that over the top? I think so. Sorry 'bout that.

Seriously? That's your middle name? Seriously? or 'Playing Around on a Cruise Ship'

Back to the ship for more fun as we cruise to the Grand Cayman Islands!

We played around on the boat...

role playing over-exhausted scenes from movies....
I bet you have no idea which one. Haha! I'm not even going to say it.... but you know I had to do it.

Lucas found the Heli-pad and posed next to his middle name.
Seriously, it is his middle name. Not an initial. Just H. That's it. Lucas H. Anyway, moving on.... random shinanigans on the boat

And then I kicked his butt at putt-putt.
True story. :)

It's about time to get all dolled up and go to dinner!
... and have some more fun with little fruity girly drinks. Haha!
But let's not get carried away. It wasn't all about fun and games! There was some serious business going on on this cruise ship. It was Super Tuesday after all! I voted early but still had to keep up with the news!
I was encouraged. But Booooo! Anyway, I'm over it now.

Remember me telling you about my pictures of pictures. Here's another one for you! Haha!

Tomorrow we shall go to the Cayman Islands!

Oh, and there will be a special edition of Musical Mondays. ;)
