Tennis Troubles

This week has been slower than expected. I was supposed to have tennis the last two nights but it has been rained out both nights. So tonight will be our first 9.0 mixed doubles match. It has been so hard to get people committed to matches. So many people have conflicts. Last year we only had around 10 people on our team and I never had this many problems and we are just starting! I am still trying to get a hold of one of our players who is supposed to play tonight but hasn't returned my email or phone messages. Ugh! Captaining a team is not fun. We have a great team but it just seems like everyone is too busy to play. I hope things get better as the season progresses.

Yesterday the a/c repair man came to our house. A wire had shorted so our breakers were flipped. He turned our breakers back on and fixed the wires. I was really scared we were going to be out like $15,000 if we had to buy 2 new a/c units but we were able to get them fixed for $125. Not too shabby! I know, this is just one more thing we have to pay for, but it is much better than it could have been. Plus the guy said our units are looking good and should last us a long time. That is good news because we certainly don't have $15,000 allotted to spend on new air conditioning units right now.

Not much else is going on. The big yard sale is on Saturday. I'll be leaving after work on Friday to go help set up.

Oh, and I am trying to put together some major plans for Saturday night. I'll let you know about that later.
